Lighthouse Farm Sanctuary is currently seeking committed, passionate, and talented people to join its Board of Directors.
Purpose of the Board
The Board of Directors of Lighthouse Farm Sanctuary exists to ensure the long-term stability, integrity, and success of the sanctuary. Board members serve in partnership with one another to support the animals, volunteers, and mission of Lighthouse.
Nature of the Role
Lighthouse operates as an all-volunteer organization. Board service is active and hands-on, not advisory or honorary. Board members are expected to contribute time, energy, and thoughtful leadership.
Core Responsibilities
Board members agree to:
- Actively participate in fundraising efforts, including donor outreach, idea generation, and campaign support
- Attend and engage in board meetings and planning discussions
- Support and respect on-the-ground volunteers and caretakers
- Provide oversight of finances and organizational decision-making
- Help guide the sanctuary through periods of transition and growth
- Act in the best interest of Lighthouse and the animals at all times
