This November 28 is Giving Tuesday, a widely recognized international day of giving. #GivingTuesday is a movement that encourages people across the globe to give to the charities and organizations they love. It always comes the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. In the true spirit of giving, this holiday embraces the many organizations across the globe that make it their professional responsibility to give — time, money, energy, passion — all year round. In the same way that Black Friday is about making sales, Giving Tuesday is about giving back to the organizations who fight every day of every year for the causes we care about.
Contributions big and small are crucial to small non-profits like ours. As an all-volunteer organization with over 200 rescued animals to care for, you can be sure that every dollar you donate is going to the care and happiness of our wonderful residents.
Winter is historically the hardest season for the sanctuary- our feed and vet costs double and we go into overdrive to make sure that our residents are safe and warm. This year has been particularly tough for us and our funds are dangerously depleted.
This year on #GivingTuesday2017 we're hoping to raise $5,000 towards our larger goal of $35,000 to help us get through the cold winter months. Donations will go to help pay down our vet bills and to purchase hay and grain for our residents.
We hope you'll mark your calendars and help us reach our very important goal on #GivingTuesday.
