In just three quick years, the Lighthouse Farm Sanctuary has become a viable thriving organization in the Pacific Northwest and within the United States. We have been contacted by people and other organizations as faraway as the eastern shoreline and from all over the west. Most importantly, we are influencing our local community in Oregon by providing information and humane education to individuals, community groups, and schools. One group of students came from an alternative high school in Cottage Grove. Below is a sample of the student’s “Thank You” letters after a recent tour.
Dear Lighthouse Farm Sanctuary,
Yesterday, while I was at the Sanctuary, I had a really good time. I enjoyed feeding the many animals that were there. I also enjoyed hearing the stories about their lives before the Sanctuary. I really respect you for doing the job that you do because even though they are animals they still don’t deserve the brutal, fearful life which they once had. In a way, you are like an Oscar Schindler of the animal world.
Thank you very much for allowing us to come visit your sanctuary and give us an opportunity to make a difference in society.

As we prepare for the upcoming new year, we are broadening our education program to further connect with our youth and make changes within our society. We are strengthening our networking efforts while we continue to rescue abused and neglected farm animals providing them with “fluffy straw” and a life without “fear”.There will be many more mouths to feed and many more children who need to be exposed to kindness and caring that they often do not enjoy. Our future and our children’s future depends on your continued support. Won’t you please join our efforts! We know how much you care about preserving the Lighthouse Farm Sanctuary. Consider making a donation to the Lighthouse Farm Sanctuary this holiday season.
With much gratitude,
Wayne S. Geiger, President
