Dory is a sweet, lovable goat who enjoys being spoiled with treats.
We often read stories in the newspaper about the methamphetamine epidemic in Oregon. We hear about the critical shortage of foster homes for children who become victims of the meth problem. But, what about some of the other victims?
For Dory and Crystal, two sweet little goats, the answer was the Lighthouse Farm Sanctuary.
When their owners were arrested for running a meth lab, they were placed at the sanctuary.
Lucky for them, they had a safe place to go.
When my daughter and I volunteer at the farm, we always bring treats for the animals.
Unlike some of the more aggressive goats, Dory and Crystal very gently take food from our hands. They are so mild mannered.
It warms my heart to know that they will be able to live out the rest of their lives in peace at the farm with the rest of the rescued animals.
